Tony Baldry Repeats His Concerns About The Probation Office In Banbury Being Closed, Concerns That He First Raised In November 2008 With The Secretary Of State For Justice, Jack Straw.
9 April 2009
"I find it extraordinary", said Tony Baldry, "that the Thames Valley Probation Service and the Secretary of State have made absolutely no attempt to engage with myself or others on this matter. I know that partners in the local crime partnership are so concerned about the possible impact on offender management locally and I understand both Cherwell District Council and the Banbury Police have offered the Probation Service alternative premises in the town to help them with their costs."
