    Simon Burns MP to have meeting with minister of justice about electoral registration fraud

    Commenting, Simon Burns MP said:

    "Following discrepancies I discovered on the Electoral Register in Chelmsford, I have over the last two months been raising this matter with the ministry of justice.

    "While I have been successful in securing changes to the explanations on voter registration forms as to which overseas citizens are allowed to register, I have not yet been successful in getting changes and improvements to tracking down and removing people from the register who should not legally be on it.

    "I will having a meeting next Monday (14th December) with the minister for justice and officials, to try and persuade them that more has got to be done to make it easier highlight and remove people from the register when they should not legally be on it."
