    30 November 2009

    Commenting, Simon Burns MP said:

"I am disappointed to hear that BAE Systems are planning to make up to 642 job losses over the next two years.

"Sadly, this could lead potentially to up to 86 job losses at BAE Systems in Chelmsford.

"I appreciate that there will be ongoing discussions with the Trade Unions and employee representatives, but regrettably this will lead to job losses in Chelmsford, which will be a bitter blow to those people adversely affected.

"I have been in touch with the company and I will be keeping up to date with the situation as developments occur."
