    MP’S CONSTITUENCY ENGAGEMENTS 5 - 14 July 2007

    On Thursday 5 July, West Derbyshire's Member of Parliament, Patrick McLoughlin, will be attending a fund raising event being held by the Derbyshire Dales Conservative Association at Chatsworth near Bakewell.

    On Friday 6 July, Patrick will be attending a meeting of the Ashbourne and District 50+ forum. He will be at the Ashbourne Leisure Centre at 11.15 to meet members who are gathering to discuss traffic and transport issues in the area.

    On Saturday 7 July, at 2 pm, the annual Garden Party for St Oswald’s Hospital in Ashbourne will be opened by Patrick.

    On Friday 13 July, Eurostar will be presenting details of the launch of Eurostar International rail services from the new St Pancras international station. They want to explain to Patrick the benefits for Derbyshire at a meeting at 12.30 at the European Inn, Midland Road, Derby.

    At 6.30 at Alison House in Cromford, Patrick will be launching a new resource for youth workers. The booklet is called, ‘Information and Resources Pack for Voluntary Youth Workers’ and has been prepared by the Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service. Patrick commented,

    “I have seen an advance copy of the booklet, and I think it will be very useful for anyone working with young people. It is very clearly written and refreshingly free from jargon, with practical advice and suggestions about where to obtain additional help for various circumstances. I am sure it will be a valuable resource, and one I shall certainly be adding to my files for reference.’
