MP welcomes new 'help' booklet for people, jobs and businesses in Erewash

    28th January 2009

Liz Blackman MP has welcomed the launch of a new booklet, published by the Government, which aids people in finding help with homes, jobs and finances in the downturn.

The booklet provides information, in plain language, on what help is available now and where to find it. The information contained in the booklet will be useful to anyone adversely affected by the downturn from homeowners with difficulties paying their mortgages, people seeking employment and training, to small businesses with cash-flow problems and larger businesses needing working capital.

The booklet also includes details of extra support that is being introduced in the spring and will be updated as more help becomes available.

    Liz Blackman MP said:

"I know that the international financial crisis is having a real impact on individuals, families and businesses in Erewash and throughout the country,

"We shouldn't repeat the mistakes of the past when people were left to cope on their own.

"This new guide outlines the extra support that is available and how you can access it."
