MP Supports New System to Tackle Domestic Abuse

    20 March 2009

Erewash MP Liz Blackman Chaired a breakfast meeting in Cotmanhay to launch a new toolkit designed to support victims of domestic abuse. The findings of a recent report on the support available for the victims of domestic violence by the charity End Violence Against Women, showed that there are gaps in provision across the UK.

'The new toolkit developed in Erewash by Nottingham Trent University will help victims of domestic abuse who suffer in many ways such as health, housing, employment or education,' said the MP. 'The help they receive can vary from case to case and involve services from a range of statutory bodies. This tool-kit can make a difference to the service victims receive and will be available nationwide.'
