Lewis wind farm proposal
ERIC JOYCE, MP FOR FALKIRK, says that rejecting the Lewis wind farm proposal shows that the SNP administration favour short term gains over long term sense.
Eric Joyce MP whose constituency lies at the end of the planned Beauly to Denny power transmission line says, ‘The decision by the SNP administration to refuse the largest land-based wind farm in Europe shortly after turning down the possibility of nuclear power for Scotland shows that the Scottish Nationalists are prepared to risk creating a serious hole in Scotland’s ability to meet its future energy needs in order to gain some short term political advantage. Although they have been in power for almost a year, the SNP have yet to learn that to govern for the future of Scotland you have to make decisions that are right which aren’t always the popular ones’
Note Eric Joyce MP is the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, which includes energy generation.
