Lee Scott MP Supports Autism Sunday 2009

    20 January 2009

Lee Scott MP is giving his full support to Autism Sunday 2009 Initiative. Autism Sunday - the International Day of Prayer for Autism and Asperger's Syndrome falls on Sunday 8th February 2009. Cathedrals, Churches and religious organisations in the United Kingdom and around the world will observe Autism Sunday and remember over 60 million people with autism and Asperger's Syndrome in prayer. World Leaders have been urged to share their 'vision for autism' and their plans to help parents, carers, children and adults with autism and Asperger's Syndrome on Autism Sunday.

Lee Scott has welcomed the initiative of his constituents Ivan and Charika Corea who first launched Autism Sunday in 2002. It began with a historic service for autism at St.Paul's Cathedral in London. Autism Sunday is now observed across many nations. Lee Scott will join parents, carers, children and adults with autism and Asperger's Syndrome at a special service for autism to mark Autism Sunday, on Sunday 8th February 2009, at 11.15 a.m. at All Saint's Church, Inman's Row, Woodford Wells, IG8 0NH. All Saint's Church in the London Borough of Redbridge is one of the largest churches in the east of London.

Autism campaigners will be lobbying hard on the serious education and health issues concerning autism on Autism Sunday.
