John Baron MP supports volunteer's week

MP will visit Wickford Talking Newspapers on 5th June

John Baron MP has given his support to Volunteer's Week which is a UK-wide initiative co-ordinated by Volunteering England running from 1st until 7th June. The campaign aims to challenge the perception of volunteering in society by highlighting 25 areas of volunteering. As part of the campaign John will be visiting Wickford Talking Newspapers at the George Hurd Centre, Audley Way on Friday 5th June at 1pm to lend his support.

John said:

"Volunteers in Basildon District do a tremendous job. Supporting volunteer's week is an important way of saying thank you to all those who give up their spare time to help good causes in the area, and to highlight the excellent work they do."
