Goldsworth Park Industrial Estate Planning Success
24 October 2008
The Woking Borough Council Planning Committee’s decision to turn down the proposals at Goldsworth Park Industrial Estate were warmly welcomed by Humfrey Malins, “Having been involved with this for the past three months I am delighted at the outcome the Council has reached. The proposed developments were not in the interest of my constituents and the community, who raised particular concerns about noise levels, traffic volumes and the environment. This is clearly a case of the community coming together to protect themselves against an undesirable development, a case that I was more than happy to help with.”
Humfrey continued to echo the call of community leaders. “I hope that now this decision has been made, the applicant will respect the wishes of the community, the Council and myself and will avoid an appeal.”
