Conservatives Panic. General Election now underway in Castle Point

    6 May 2009

Tory Front Bench Theresa Villiers visits Castle Point tomorrow to see sites of traffic congestion.

This is yet another Tory press stunt to parade their Parliamentary candidate. But Castle Point people are very wise, they value Bob's actions not Tory political stunts

These MPs are paid to do public work not political campaigning in other MP's constituencies. After the last Tory VIP trip Castle Point, the Speaker told the House of Commons: 'Don't they have enough work to so in their own constituencies!'

Little wonder that every one of the five Tory VIPs who have visited us this year, to tell Castle Point people how to vote, have poor records working for their constituents and country.

Theyworkforyou official record of Parliamentary performance today reveals:

Contributions to debate: Theresa: 16 Bob 161

Responding to constituents: Theresa: 400th Bob 2nd best of 646 MPs

Voting record: Theresa: 69% Bob 84%

Parliamentary questions Theresa: 396 Bob 758

Value for money Telegraph Audit: Bob best in Eastern Area and 80% better value than the average Tory MP.

None of these VIPs will tell people that the failures on road infrastructure investment and Canvey's additional access road are totally down to the refusal of Essex Tory County Councillors to make our roads their priority.

Essex received £300 million recently from the Government for roads.

What do the Tories suggest should be done to stop congestion? Perhaps they will propose getting people off our roads, by pricing or other legislation which would certainly improve congestion but be totally unacceptable. Or will they start backing my campaigns?

And if they say a Tory MP would 'have more influence', they are both stupid and politically corrupt as it is illegal for a Government to take political advantage into account in public spending decisions.
