What role for the waste sector in mitigating climate change?

The Associate Parliamentary Sustainable Resource Group (APSRG) will be hosting a reception on Tuesday 9 December in the House of Commons Terrace on the pressing issue of waste and climate change.
The event will highlight the important role that waste and resource efficiency has to play in lessening the impact of climate change.
It is being hosted in partnership with the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and the Environmental Services Association (ESA),
The key-note speaker will be Angela Eagle MP, Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury.
Other speakers will include
Dr Liz Goodwin - WRAP Chief Executive
Steve Lee - Chief Executive of CIWM
Dirk Hazell - Chief Executive of ESA
The reception is from 12.45pm to 2.45pm on the Terrace Pavilion, House of Commons, Westminster.
