New statistics reveal increase in number of women accepting their screening invitations
NHS Breast Screening statistics published today reveal an increase in the number of women accepting their screening invitations.
Dr Sarah Rawlings, Head of Policy at Breakthrough Breast Cancer, said:
“These positive results are encouraging and we hope that this upward trend will continue.
Breast screening services are a vital part of early diagnosis and the earlier cancer is diagnosed the better the chances of successful treatment. We strongly encourage all women to attend their screening appointments when invited."
