NASUWT comments on Scottish Cabinet reshuffle

Reacting to news that Fiona Hyslop is to be replaced as education secretary by Michael Russell, Jane Peckham, Scotland Organiser for the NASUWT, the fastest growing teachers' union in Scotland, said:

"Fiona Hyslop has been in office as Education Secretary during a time of great transition and change in Scotland and I would like to register my thanks for her contribution.

"There remain a number of important issues to resolve, such as class sizes and the early retirement plans for Scottish teachers, and I look forward to working with Michael Russell."
