About NS&I
NS&I (National Savings and Investments) is one of the largest savings organisations in the UK, with almost 27 million customers and over £94 billion invested. We are best known for Premium Bonds, held by over 23 million people, but also offer a range of other savings and investments to suit different people’s needs, including Inflation-Beating Savings, Guaranteed Equity Bonds and Children’s Bonus Bonds. All products offer 100 per cent security, because NS&I is backed by HM Treasury.
NS&I is an Executive Agency of the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Over the years NS&I has received many endorsements for quality and service. In 2008, we were again credited with Charter Mark for Excellence in Public Service, we place considerable emphasis on retention of this accolade which we first achieved in 1997. Our UK Contact Centres have also received accreditation and awards from the Customer Contact Association, for demonstrating high levels of service.
NS&I have also achieved IIP (Investor In People) accreditation and in 2006 NS&I received single star status from the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies survey. In January 2009, NS&I retained IS0140001 accreditation, first achieved in 2007 and a firm indicator of our commitment to sustainability issues.

Our mission
Our overall aim is to help reduce the cost to the taxpayer of Government borrowing now and in the future. With this in mind, our single strategic objective is to provide the Government with cost-effective retail finance compared with raising funds on the wholesale market.
