Our members are food and (non-alcoholic) drink manufacturers of all sizes, and trade associations dealing with specific sectors of the industry.
Our key priorities are:
• Competitiveness - including business regulation, skills, employment legislation, occupational health and trade issues.
• Food Safety and Science – including issues regarding the food chain, genetic modification (GM), nanotechnology, allergen control, and food ingredients.
• Heath and Wellbeing – including front of pack and nutritional labelling, portion size, product reformulation, salt and transfats, workplace well-being, and the Public Health Responsibility Deal.
• Sustainability – including extending our influence across the supply hain, our Five-fold Environmental Ambition with FDF members reducing CO2 emissions, packaging, waste, water and transport.
