7 July: CPA UK Annual General Meeting
7 July: Visit by Pakistan Youth Parliament
Organised in conjunction with the Pakistan Institute for Legislative Development and Transparency, the visit aims to strengthen links between young people in Pakistan and the UK and to further develop their understanding of parliamentary democracy.
5 – 9 July: Inward Delegation of Members from the National Assembly of Pakistan
The delegation members will engage with UK parliamentarians and policy actors on issues of mutual interest including human rights, climate change and UK-Pakistan relations.
11 – 17 July: 48th CPA Canadian Regional Conference
BIMR has been invited to send a regional representative as an observer
12 – 16 July: International Parliamentary Conference on Climate Change: Global to Local – Climate Change Post-Copenhagen
Held at Westminster, the conference aims to support parliamentarians to influence the formulation and implementation of climate change policy at local, national and international levels.
120 international parliamentarians will attend an exciting series of plenary and parallel discussions led by parliamentarians and policy experts from around the world, exchanging experiences and discussing practical ways in which they can contribute to the local, national and global effort to tackle climate change now and in the future.
23 – 31 July: 35th CPA Conference of the Caribbean, Americas and Atlantic Region
The conference will examine the theme “Modernisation of Caribbean Parliaments: Forging our own Identity”. BIMR to send a regional representative as an observer.
Summer Parliamentary Strengthening Programme: Botswana
The programme will explore and address issues of capacity within the Batswana Parliament including committees, role of the speaker, and the role of opposition.
Summer Parliamentary Strengthening Programme: Ghana
The programme will explore and address issues of capacity within the Ghanaian Parliament.
10 – 17 September: 56th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference
The conference will take place in Nairobi, Kenya
11 – 12 October: Visit to Westminster by President of National Assembly, Quebec
17 – 23 October: 8th CPA Canadian Parliamentary Seminar Ottawa,
CPA UK has been invited to apply for places at the Seminar. The topic to be explored in the seminar is "Strengthening Democracy and the Role of Parliamentarians: Challenges and Solutions".
October Outward Delegation of Westminster Members to India
The delegation members will engage with Indian parliamentarians and policy actors on issues of mutual interest.
17 – 22 October: Outward Delegation of Westminster Members to Sri Lanka
The delegation members will discuss issues of mutual interest including the role of parliamentarians in peacebuilding and post-conflict reconstruction.
25 – 29 October: Inward Delegation of Members of the Rwandan Parliament
The delegation members will engage with UK parliamentarians and policy actors on issues of mutual interest.
8 – 19 November: 5th International Parliamentary Governance Seminar
Held in London, Brussels and Cardiff, the Seminar aims to contribute to a greater understanding of the principles of governance within the context of the Westminster System.
29 November – 3 December: Inward Delegation of Members of the Parliament of Mozambique
The delegation members will engage with UK parliamentarians and policy actors on issues of mutual interest.

21 – 25 February: Outward Delegation of Westminster Members to New Zealand
The delegation members engage with New Zealand parliamentarians and policy actors on issues of mutual interest.
7 – 18 March: 60th Westminster Seminar on Parliamentary Practice and Procedures + PAC Symposium
Held in London, the Seminar will explore parliamentary practice and procedures within the Westminster legislature framework.

21 – 29 July: 57th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference
The conference will take place at Westminster and will coincide with the centenary celebrations of the CPA.
