Breast Cancer Facts and Statistics
What is Breast Cancer?
The term 'breast cancer' actually refers to a large family of cancer that can develop in any part of the breast tissue.
Cells normally reproduce by dividing in a regular, orderly fashion, however sometimes they change and begin to grow and divide in an irregular, uncontrolled fashion.
These cells can form a lump or tumour and, in some cases, eventually spread to nearby organs, tissues, or more distant parts of the body.
