Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS)

The Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS) is a trade association that represents Private Investor Companies who act on behalf of investors in the stock market. If you buy or sell securities at any time, then you are likely to deal with a firm that is a member of APCIMS.

Our objectives are:
• to provide information and assistance to our members across a wide range of regulatory, market and business issues; to communicate industry change to our members
• to promote the interests of our members with governments, regulators, financial institutions and all participants in financial services
• to lead the debate in Europe in the development of the European securities industry.

APCIMS currently has 185 members, 120 of these are FSA authorised wealth management and broking firms that deal directly for the private investor and manage over £400 billion of the country’s wealth. The remaining 65 are associate members who do not deal directly for the private investor but share the aims of the APCIMS community and provide professional services to our members.
