Plaid Cymru has become the first party to launch its Assembly election manifesto, setting out a "bold blueprint" for Wales.
The party unveiled its programme of "new thinking" for the Assembly's fourth term, entitled 'Ambition Is Critical', a reference to a line coined by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
The 108-page document contains key pledges for next month's election include halving the illiteracy and innumeracy rates for primary school pupils, eradicating child poverty by 2020 and improving transport connections and broadband access.
At today's launch, party leader Ieuan Wyn Jones said the manifesto, if implemented, would "lead to the transformation of our economy and some of our key public services".
He added: "The big difference between us and the three other parties this time is we want to move Wales forward with new ideas."
Plaid's policy director Nerys Evans said: "Plaid Cymru wants this election to be a battle of ideas, underpinned with a vision of creating a strong, confident and prosperous Wales.
"To date, only Plaid Cymru has offered that vision and hope for a better Wales - we cannot afford five more years of Labour failure and lack of ambition.
"Today, following a consultation which has lasted over a year and which has involved many hundreds of people, we are publishing a manifesto which we believe meets our aims.
"It is bold, it is workable, it is affordable and, if implemented, it could lead to the transformation of our economy and some of our key public services."
Other policy pledges include a 'Rent Now-Buy later' scheme to help first-time buyers, a national home insulation programme and a bid to raise Wales' international presence.
And it would also seek a new funding settlement for Wales with the Treasury, to replace the Barnett formula.
Plaid is the first of the main parties to publish their manifesto. The Lib Dems will unveil theirs on Wednesday, followed by Labour on Thursday and the Conservatives on Friday.
