Dods, the company that brings you Dods People, ePolitix.com, The House Magazine and Dods Monitoring, is today unveiling its newest service, Dods Legislation.

Dods Legislation makes it easy for you to track legislation as it progresses through Parliament, presenting bills and all their associated material in an easy to follow format tailored to your needs.

So that you're always up-to-date, Dods Legislation will email you updates on any provisions you choose to track – from a whole bill to a single clause. If an amendment has been tabled, or a new bill version has been published, you will be kept informed through immediate, daily or weekly emails.

The service is designed for people in Parliament, and the wider public affairs community, for whom tracking bills is a time consuming but vital part of their roles.

By collating all the information you need in one place – from amendment papers and parliamentary debates to department and pressure group press releases – it provides a comprehensive data resource for all those following legislation through its parliamentary stages.

With all this information available in an easy-to-navigate format, you can save the time currently spent looking for and comparing data across multiple sources.

Dods Legislation allows you to drill down into the detail of each bill. Zoom in to look at a single clause with the click of a button, and view it alongside a variety of supplementary information including explanatory notes, debate transcripts and other documents related just to that section of the bill.

As each bill progresses through Parliament, Dods Legislation will track every development. All debates and amendment papers are then available as soon as they are published. And not only will these be available to view in their entirety, but they are also be presented alongside the relevant provisions.

If an amendment to Clause 10 of a bill is tabled, it will then appear alongside that clause. This will be updated once the amendment has either been agreed upon or rejected by Parliament. It will also show any debates in which the clause had been considered, along with any changes made by the publication of new bill version, ensuring that all Parliamentary developments are at your fingertips.

Aside from these core features, Dods Legislation gathers together a range of supplementary information that will keep you on top of developments beyond Parliament.

Our organisations directory provides the views of key stakeholder organisations for each bill, and their press releases are included in our news section. Our expansive collection of related documents also features publications from Parliament and government – from impact assessments and consultation documents to Parliamentary questions and committee reports.

To ensure you never miss a thing these documents also appear alongside the clauses to which they relate and will be included in your regular email alerts.

Dods Legislation's intuitive search function makes it easy to find what you're looking for and to drill down into different types of content to focus on what interests you.

By presenting the extensive and complex information surrounding legislation in this straightforward and intuitive way, Dods Legislation offers a unique approach to tracking bills through Parliament.

It will keep you informed of every development, whether from inside or beyond Parliament, taking the hassle and complexity out of legislation monitoring.

It is available free of charge for anyone with a parliament.uk email address, and via subscription to the wider public affairs community.

If you are in Parliament, simply visit www.dodslegislation.com to subscribe. Otherwise, please email today to start using this unique service.

If you are one of the hundreds of parliamentary users who have pre-registered for access, we will be in touch over the coming days to get you started with the service.
