Duncan Smith: Labour is divided from top to bottom
Iain Duncan Smith has slammed Labour over its splits and divisions on key policies.
Speaking to the Chartered Insurers Institute conference, the Conservative leader also criticised Tony Blair for "mismanaging the economy".
"The Labour Party is divided from top to bottom," said Duncan Smith.
"On Iraq and relations with the United States, on the euro and relations with the European Union, on foundation hospitals, tuition fees, and the whole direction of public service reform."
He added that across the government "political will has been replaced by political infighting".
"Ministers' commitment to their country has been replaced by concern for their jobs," the Tory leader said.
"And that concern is valid. The Hutton inquiry has exposed to the public's view the inner workings of this government. And the public have had enough of it."
Broadening his attack on the government, Duncan Smith highlighted Labour's economic policies.
"Labour's mismanagement of the economy is one of its least reported failures," he said.
"It is under-reported because the growing weaknesses of the UK economy, are growing beneath the surface.
"Like an iceberg we can only see the tip of the uncompetitiveness and supply side rigidities that Labour is creating."
