Blair: Labour landslide 'pie in the sky'

| Blair: Not complacent |
Tony Blair has dismissed talk of a Labour landslide victory as "pie in the sky".
"As for the whole issue of so-called landslides and all the rest of it, I keep saying to people this is all pie in the sky, there's nobody cast a vote in this election yet," he told a radio phone-in on Sunday.
Repeating Labour claims that the Tories were deliberately encouraging a low voter turnout Blair urged his supporters to "come out and vote for it".
"I would just like to point out to people we've not actually had this election result at all and if people want the things that we want - they want the economy to remain strong, low inflation, high numbers of jobs, if they want the investment in public services - people have got to come out and vote for it," he said.
Putting polls and feverish media speculation of landslides and Tory meltdown to one side, Blair said the British people were "the boss".
"I think it's important that people give us the mandate, give us the instructions, give us our marching orders," he said.
Labour should take nothing for granted, said Blair, calling for voters to support his public service agenda.
"People want us to do the things that we want to do, my point is that we can't do them unless we have their support,'' he said.
