Webwatch: Rock n' Roll with Tories.com
"The Tories have been to the other side and back," ePolitix.com can reveal, though the Tories in question are a Los Angeles based rock n' roll band rather than Britain's Conservative Party.
The band's latest album, entitled "The Upside of Down", includes the songs "All the World's for Sale", "Come Unglued" and "Everything Keeps Coming Up You".
The Tories have evidently developed a committed following across the Atlantic since they formed in 1995, and their repertoire includes the soundtrack for an NBC sitcom.
Band members Steve Bertrand, James Guffee, Bryan Head and J.J. Farris say they have overcome adversity to create The Upside of Down, which explores "a darker sound that retains elements of hope and humour".
Messages left on the website's guestbook include one from "Stacey and Shannon" who say: "We have overnight become Tories fans...After they borrowed our beautiful feathered boas, we fell in love!!"
"I would love to get it on with the Tories. They turn my crank," says "ted J".
