Mortgage rates fall again

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England has cut interest rates by 0.25 per cent.

It cited continued global economic uncertainty as its motivation for the second cut in two months.

The reduction will play well with voters, and comes the day after Labour pledged to deliver morgages "as low as possible".
