Livingstone signs up for e-government
Ken Livingstone has signed a declaration to develop an electronic government strategy for London. The mayor also announced the appointment of London assembly member Valerie Shawcross as his cabinet adviser for internet related issues.
Livingstone said: "I am firmly committed to helping the development of e-government which promises to transform the relationship between government and the people. As mayor I will work with boroughs and other agencies to ensure that London more than meets the targets set for electronic services."
