The Rt Hon John Redwood MP welcomes changes to train horns
Speaking today, The Rt Hon John Redwood MP said:
“It is good news that trains will not normally sound their horns at night. This should make it easier for people within audible range of railway line to sleep without railway noises interrupting them. I hope the changes to daytime horn blowing will help a bit, but we need to review it as the new arrangements come in. The railway management could take out more whistle boards altogether where these are noisy and over the top”
John has been one of the MPs leading the campaign to get some peace and quiet near railway lines, following the decision to introduce the much noisier horns on new trains.
