About Us

About Us

Working Links was established in 2000 to deliver the Government's Employment Zones in some of Britain's most disadvantaged communities. Six years on we are firmly established s one of the most successful organisations at helping people get back to work, long-term.

Helping disadvantaged people

Since 2000 we have helped more than 76,000 long term unemployed and disadvantaged people to return to work. This is a significant achievement. We work with some of the hardest to help groups, including many people who have been out of work for a number of years.

A unique partnership

A public/private/voluntary partnership between the Government's Shareholder Executive, Manpower, Capgemini and Mission Australia Working Links is unlike any other employment provider. Combining the employment expertise of three sectors in one organisation, Working Links is designed to address the real needs of today's jobseekers and employers.

Our achievements

Working Links operates all across Britain, working on more than 60 initiatives with a variety of organisations including: the Department for Work and Pensions, the Social Inclusion Unit, the London Development Agency and the Learning and Skills Council. Through these initiatives we have been able to make a lasting difference in some of Britain's most deprived communities. More than 70% of the people we have helped back into work are still working a year later.

Investing in communities

In 2003 Working Links set up a charitable trust to invest in valuable community projects all over the country. Called The Links Foundation, the trust allocates money from the Working Links Community Reinvestment Fund. The main purpose of the Links Foundation is to reinvest money back into the communities where we operate, and pay for worthwhile projects that can't get any other funding.
