Events
The Institute of Hospitality organises local, national and international informative and social events throughout the year to disseminate topical information and provide an ideal platform for members and non-members to network with fellow industry professionals.
In addition to events organised by Head Office, the Institute of Hospitality's UK branches and international groups organise a variety of local events for members to attend which are geographically closer to their place of work and residence.
Seminars and Workshops
Seminars and workshops are open to members and non-members of the Institute of Hospitality and are used as a mechanism to communicate relevant and topical information on legislation and trends. Previous successful events include a Chip & PIN seminar road show and an update seminar on the changes to the Disability Discrimination Act.
Recognising the need for more sector specific information for the industry's growing number of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), the Institute of Hospitality has developed a series of Small Business Seminars for those setting up or running small businesses in the Hospitality Industry, covering a variety of topics such as Marketing, Finance and Property. The seminars will run at various locations across the UK until March 2007.
See www.hcima.org.uk/seminars for more information.
Social Events
Throughout the year, the Institute of Hospitality's social events such as the Annual Lunch, President's Ball and Fellows' Dinner provide the opportunity for members of the Association to network with colleagues and industry professionals in a relaxed and informal environment with excellent food and fine wine.
