Strike Looms At Gala Casinos In London
The five London casinos that will be effected are Gala Tottenham Court Road, Gala Russell Square, Gala Barrcucda in Baker Street, Gala Golden Horseshoe in Queensway and Gala Piccadilly. Gala is one of the UK's largest casino operators, with 32 casinos across the UK, Isle of Man and Gibraltar.
Michael Ainsley, GMB Organiser said, "Gala insists that it cannot meet with us to discuss where we go from here until the week beginning 19th September. GMB members are fed up with the company ignoring them and not taking them seriously on pay and other important issues such as health and safety. Perhaps the 90% vote for strike action will help them get the message that they are storing up bad feeling and anger amongst their employees who actually create the wealth of the company."
