FLA RESPONDS TO ROYAL ASSENT FOR CONSUMER CREDIT BILL

FLA (Finance & Leasing Association) the principal representative of the consumer credit industry, today responded to the announcement that the Consumer Credit Bill received Royal Assent.
Martin Hall, FLA’s Director-General said:
“We have worked closely with the Government at all stages of the Consumer Credit Bill. We hope that they have taken on board our wish to see a sensible implementation timetable. The important thing now is that the secondary legislation and OFT guidance should be proportionate and leave a continuing role for industry codes of practice."
