The government is committed to increasing the housing supply to meet the demands of those in serious housing need or who aspire to a better home, but it must make sure that this programme is sufficient to meet all these requirements, that they respond to the diversity of demand and are delivered in the most sustainable way, urges a report from the Commons ODPM select committee.
