A survey published in Forbes Global business magazine has found that a rising tax burden on entrepreneurial activity is threatening Britain's global competitiveness.

A spokesman for the IoD told ePolitix.com: "This report just goes to prove what we have been saying for a long time.

"The tax burden on British business has been steadily rising for a number of years.

"This has resulted in a decline in entrepreneurialism and an erosion in the UK's economic competitiveness."
