Forum Brief: Licence fee
The government has rejected calls for a root-and-branch shake up of the BBC.
In an interview with today's Financial Times, culture secretary Tessa Jowell ruled out a radical change to the corporation's present licence fee funding in a forthcoming review of the BBC's Royal Charter.

A spokesman for the BBC told ePolitix.com: "We welcome the secretary of state's continuing support for the licence fee which we believe is the best way to fund the BBC."
