Forum Brief: Sunderland health strike
Medical secretaries employed by the City of Sunderland Hospitals NHS Trust are currently taking part in strike action.
The strike is taking place over the staff's wish for regarding, in order to bring them into line with other trusts around the country. Around 140 secretaries are on the picket lines as part of a four-day strike.

Liz Twist, regional head of health at Unison, told ePolitix.com: "Sunderland's medical secretaries have been heartened by the warmth of support shown by patients and the public and they are determined to persuade the Sunderland Trust management that their claim for regrading cannot be ignored."
