Forum Brief: Economy Class Syndrome
Reports in the press have suggested that Britain's airline industry will this week face a £100 million compensation claim for "economy class syndrome."
The lawsuit has been filed by more than 200 passengers and legal experts believe that the High Court will on Thursday rule that airlines must defend the case.
Forum Response: British Airways
A spokesman for British Airways told ePolitix.com: "We are closely monitoring the case and will be in a position to make a more detailed comment after the judge's ruling."
Forum Response: Virgin Atlantic
A spokesman for Virgin Atlantic told ePolitix.com: "We don't know if we are going to be involved in this case. Although we keep seeing our name mentioned in the press, Virgin Atlantic has not received a single communication from solicitors involved in the case, so until we are contacted we can't comment further."
