BBC clears minister's interview

The Mail reports that BBC bosses have completed an inquiry into whether pensions minister James Purnell's relationship with a Newsnight producer led to him being given an easy ride in an interview with presenter Jeremy Paxman.

The corporation found no wrongdoing, while Purnell has also denied inappropriately using his government car.
