Labour 'to boost' number of super casinos
Labour will allow the building of up to eight supercasinos if they win the election, according to The Times.
Ministers intend to use a loophole in the Gambling Bill that would allow it to raise the number of regional casinos, which contain unlimited-prize jackpot machines.
This is despite an agreement brokered between Tessa Jowell, the culture secretary, and John Whittingdale, her Conservative shadow, last Monday.
The Tories allowed the Gambling Bill to become law before Parliament was dissolved after the government agreed to the limit of one.
