Nurses warned yesterday that the MRSA superbug is being allowed to spread because most hospitals fail to provide them with enough clean uniforms.

A survey conducted by the Royal College of Nursing found that two thirds of NHS trusts had no laundry facilities for staff and three quarters had inadequate changing facilities.
