New Midlands vote fraud allegations

Senior members of the Asian community have been accused of attempting to organise a postal vote racket in Leicester.

Parmjit Singh Gill, the Liberal Democrat MP for Leicester South in the last parliament, believes constituents are being put under pressure to register for a postal vote, and then being instructed who to vote for.

Singh Gill's claim is the first allegation of voting fraud connected with the general election on May 5. Until now, allegations of voting fraud have been concerned with past elections.
