Plaid Cymru is aiming to hold on to a key South Wales seat and take back Ynys Mon (Anglesey) at the expense of Labour.

The party is urging Labour voters to "lend" the party their votes in protest against the Iraq war.

The Welsh nationalists' manifesto, launched yesterday, includes a 50 per cent tax rate on top earners and an action plan to cut waiting lists in the Welsh NHS.
