Labour maintains poll lead

Labour is still ahead of the Conservatives, according to the latest batch of opinion polls.

A YouGov study for the Telegraph shows a fall in support for Tory leader Michael Howard's party.

The Conservatives are down one point to 33 per cent, while Labour is unchanged on 37 per cent.

And the Liberal Democrats are up two per cent to stand at 24 per cent.

Meanwhile, the latest Populus tracker poll for the Times, has Labour up one point to 41 per cent, with the Tories down one on 32 per cent. The Lib Dems are unchanged on 20 per cent.

An ICM poll in the Mirror gives Labour a six-point lead.

Tony Blair's party is on 39 per cent, the Tories on 33 per cent, and the Lib Dems on 20 points.
