Billy Bragg, the Labour supporting songwriter, has written a new version of the hymn "I vow to thee my country", with a new emphasis on socialism.

Martin Linton, the Labour MP for Battersea who helped with the lyrics, said he hoped that the new version, called "The many not the few", would be sung alongside other party anthems such as "The red flag".
