Ministers repeat vow to create corporate killing law

Ministers are preparing to push through a new law to make it easier to prosecute companies for fatalities.

The move comes after manslaughter and health and safety charges against Railtrack and three of its executives over the Hatfield rail crash were dropped earlier this week.

But the CBI on Thursday said it remained "unconvinced that there's a need for new legislation... it's for the government to make the case".
