Deal reached to end 'two-tier workforces'
Public sector union Unison has announced that a deal has been struck with the government to end "two-tier workforces".
Under the agreement, staff recruited when public services are outsourced would have to be taken on under terms no less favourable than those enjoyed by staff whose contracts are transferred.
The wording of the deal will be discussed at the Labour policy forum later this week, however there is still some disagreement over when the deal will come into force.
