Mayor gives £2.7bn Crossrail bill to business
Ahead of an expected decision on the project from transport secretary Alistair Darling next week, London mayor Ken Livingstone has asked businesses in the Capital to put £2.7 billion into the proposed East-West Crossrail link.
Meanwhile the Scottish executive is expected to get new powers over Network Rail north of the border.
