Roads around parliament could be closed to traffic to prevent a lorry bomb attack, according to an official review of security.

The study has identified risks from Bridge Street and Westminster Bridge, which overlook Big Ben and Speaker's House, and Old Palace Yard, which runs close to the House of Lords. Both may be pedestrianised or have lanes shut.

Interim findings of the review are expected this week.
