Prescott warned over out-of-town ban
Deputy prime minister John Prescott's proposed relaxation of the ban on out-of-town shopping centres could jeopardise the revival of town and city centres.
Jon Rouse, chief executive of the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, said draft changes to the ban threatened the return of massive developments near motorway junctions that would have a negative impact on town and city centre regeneration.
