Speed cameras incorrectly sited
The government has admitted that some of Britain's 5,500 speed cameras are in positions that are not justified in safety terms.
Alistair Darling said that while the "vast majority" of cameras were correctly sited at accident blackspots some should be moved.
The admission comes amid public unease that speed cameras are designed to raise revenue as much as increase safety.
