Pollsters quit Central Office
ICM has resigned as the Conservative Party's official pollster after just six weeks, in protest at attempts by Central Office to influence its findings.
The polling company severed its links because relations had broken down with the two joint chairmen, Lord Saatchi and Liam Fox.
Managing director of ICM Nick Sparrow resigned because the leadership demanded questions that could have only one answer and which were designed to shore up the party’s existing position.
